Unite Private Networks Signs WAN Agreement with Lovejoy (TX) School District
Multi-year agreement for fiber-optic services to all District sites

Kansas City, MO (February 27, 2013) – Unite Private Networks (UPN) today announced a multi-year agreement to provide fiber-optic Wide Area Network (WAN) services to the Lovejoy Independent School District located in the Allen/Lucas/Fairview, TX markets. The fiber-optic network will connect all District facilities and provide a minimum of one Gigabit of communications bandwidth to each site. UPN plans to begin construction immediately and expects completion within six months.

Tina Phillips, Director of Technology, states “Enhancement and expansion of the Lovejoy ISD network will enable us to provide a stable, robust network for our staff and students across the District. We look forward to our partnership with Unite Private Networks to help us accomplish our technology goals.”
According to Jason Adkins, SVP Sales at UPN, the fiber-optic WAN will be a key component to the District’s network expansion. Unlike what the district is currently using, the Unite Private Network state-of-the-art solution of providing dedicated fiber to each building site, allows the district future unlimited bandwidth and growth potential. “We are looking forward to beginning construction on this project and developing a long term relationship with Tina and her team. We are thrilled the Lovejoy Independent School District chose us to help accomplish their technology goals.”

UPN provides high-bandwidth, fiber-based communications networks and related services to schools, governments, carriers, data centers, hospitals, and enterprise business customers located in 18 states.

“This new network will connect with and complement the existing fiber network that UPN has throughout the Dallas metro area,” said Kevin Anderson, UPN CEO. “The nearly unlimited bandwidth provided by fiber-optic facilities allows our services to easily and quickly expand as the needs of customers grow over time. Most of our customers enter into long-term, fixed-priced contracts that allow them to lock-in their future communications costs while providing them with flexible solutions to meet their ever-growing bandwidth requirements.”
