Unite Private Networks to Open New Corporate Headquarters in Kansas City, MO

Move to new Zona Rosa office location planned for January 2016

Kansas City, MO (December 11, 2015) – Unite Private Networks (UPN), a leading Midwest provider of fiber-optic based communication networks, announced plans to move to a new corporate headquarters located in Kansas City, MO. The organization will relocate in January 2016 from its existing Liberty, MO office location.

The new headquarters will be nestled in the heart of Zona Rosa, a mixed-use urban center located in Kansas City, MO, just south of KCI Airport.  “We are delighted that UPN has selected Zona Rosa as their base of operations in Kansas City,” said Andrea Olshan CEO of Olshan Properties, the New York City-based real estate firm that owns and manages Zona Rosa. “Zona Rosa is the ideal place for this local company to grow while serving both the immediate community and the entire Midwest.”

The space will feature a network operations center, a fitness facility for employees, state-of-the art technology, and enough office space to support future growth. The Kansas City office provides support for all UPN operations. The new office move comes on the heels of exponential growth for the company.

“UPN has a long-standing history in Kansas City and we are proud to continue to call the KC metro our home,” said Kevin Anderson, Chairman and CEO of UPN. “We’ve created nearly 100 new jobs over the last couple of years, with the majority being right here in Kansas City, and we plan to continue that growth into the future.”

“2015 proved to be one of the most successful years in company history,” said Jason W. Adkins, President of UPN. “We increased our network footprint by nearly 1,500 fiber route miles across the Midwest, including Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri, and Texas, and more recently announced a significant fiber expansion in the Kansas City market.”

“Kansas City continues to strengthen its role as a hub for tech talent thanks to cutting edge companies like UPN which are creating jobs and growing their business,” Gov. Nixon said. “I congratulate UPN on their continued success and the high-paying, highly skilled jobs they have created for Missouri.”

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held in the coming months. The new office will be located at 7200 NW 86th Street, Kansas City, MO 64153.
