May 12, 2015 – TeliaSonera International Carrier (TSIC) and Unite Private Networks today announces cooperation for optical fiber network and IP transit services.
TeliaSonera International Carrier, continues to expand its capability in North America. TSIC has reached agreement to expand in the Dallas metro leasing UPN’s fiber over which it will run its super-channel based 100G-enabled network.
“Despite our European origins and expanding into the Middle East in the spring, North America is now ‘home’ to 40% of our 61500 km global fiber network. Working with UPN helps us meet more customers locally and support Mexican and Latin American customers who connect through Dallas.” said Ivo Pascucci, Regional Director Americas at TeliaSonera International Carrier Inc.
Under the partnership, UPN will use TSICs long haul connectivity capability including wavelengths and IP transit service to meet its growing demand for global internet access.
