Unite Private Networks Announces Fiber Network Expansion in Colorado
Fiber network will create diverse ring in Pueblo
Pueblo, CO (January 20, 2015) – Unite Private Networks (UPN) announced today a major fiber network expansion in Pueblo, Colorado in support of a major wireless carrier. Construction is expected to be completed mid-summer.
The state-of-the-art high speed network will create a diverse metro ring in Pueblo, adding extensive route miles to our existing fiber footprint in the city. The new network will extend fiber-optic services along the Hwy 50 frontage road, as well as provide new high speed options to the Pueblo Plex.
“The fiber expansion will extend throughout Pueblo, providing businesses and government entities access to the suite of products we provide, including Ethernet services from 10 Mbps to 100 Gbps, wavelength services, Internet access, and dark fiber,” said Tony Becker, Director of Enterprise Sales at UPN.
“Many companies tell us that access to high speed broadband is essential to be competitive in today’s world-wide economy. Unite Private Network’s announcement that it will extend its fiber network will benefit many existing Pueblo businesses and enhance PEDCO’s ability to attract new companies to our area. We congratulate Unite on making this investment in our community’s critical infrastructure,” said Jack Rink, President and CEO, Pueblo Economic Development Corporation (PEDCO).
